So we recently had a visit from our good freinds from AZ, the Fryer's. We drove up to San Diego and met them for a fun filled day of the beach (which was frickn freezing), hot tubbing and some excellent Indian food. It was so fun to see them and Jaida loved playing with Mitch. The beach was not as warm as we would have liked (even though it was sunny and 90 degrees a short 4 miles from the beach...damn those coastal clouds) but we didn't let that stop us from enjoying it. If you want some boogie boarding lessons, you know who to call... Check out our sweet form, Shannon was a natural...and the waves were really big...promise...... We miss all of our Arizona friends so MOVE HERE already.
Other festivites in the Skidmore home include boxing up everything we own so it can all be stored while we live with my parents until we buy a house. This should work out great except Mike keeps telling me how much debt we can pay off if we live with my parents for 6 months and then it double if we lived with them for a year. Silly Mike.... This will only be TEMPORARY.
Another note worthy event is this Thursday the 9th I will officially be American. (but not really cause I will always be Canadian at heart) I am so excited to vote this year, Mike and I have never been super into politics but having my Dad live with us has forced us to be more aware of the 2 candidates. Our first choice was Mitt but now he is out, it is McCain all the way. I am really excited to vote for Prop 8 as well, this is something we have really been involved in and feel strongly about. Vote YES!
Oh ya, I also taught Jaida to vacuum....too young???? :)

I told Bruce living with his parents can only be TEMPORARY too...a year later, stuff happens! Good luck though!
hey there. we are missing you! i love the photos. i am so glad that you put that one of us. sorry i didn't put one of you & me- the one i wanted to put, you were hiding behind the board & i wasn't. anyway, i have some super cute ones of the kids but jaida girls (girls) were showing in all of them & i felt like i shouldn't put that on my post, so i will send them to your email. anyway, love it- miss ya! mitch has asked about jaida a few times & enjoyed this blog post. later.
looks like super cold fun. makes me think of that time at saguaro lake with your mom and the dry suits, and then the mexico trip where it stormed and the roof leaked all over your friends' beds and then we tried to light the fire and all the smoke just spewed into the house and we all choked from smoke inhalation. but luckily the satalite worked because you all were able to watch Grey's Anatomy. And mike's friend said hell. Oh and your other friends tried to walk home from my parents house and the estuary got in the way hehehe. okay, that just brought up so many memories. but the point was the weather. i think you guys tend to attract the cold! and i love jaida's suit positioning. no wonder mitch had such a good time! jk glad you all got together! looks like fun. miss you and good luck finding a house. we are coming soon, very soon. get yourself ready and excited to have the bridge bunch terrorize your life. btw, jake said he'll only give your mom a tat if she farts again. that was classic. but nothing beats the stink eye from a certain member of your family that was there. remember?
c ya crazy!
