This is stressin me out...
So yesterday I was ready to knock a few thing off our to do list. I was so motivated when I woke up, I sent Jaida off to school then I planned on having our power of attorney County certified then sent off to the State to be certified, then we had an appointment to get our criminal back ground check notarized. When I got home from taking Jaida to school I had an email from our social worker saying with all of the rain, she had to cancel our second home study visit on Thursday. Then when I went to the County Clerks office it was jam packed. I took my number and waited my turn. When they called me up the employee said it would take 15-20 minutes for her do it so I waited again. She called me up and said she could not certify it because the signature our notary signed on the power of attorney did not match the one she signed for the State. I checked and they totally didn't match. Just in case any of you are thinking of becoming a notary.... don't change your signature. So I called our notary she was so nice and said she would re-do it for us. As I was leaving the County Clerk's office I get a call from the Sheriff's office and they cancelled our appointment to have our criminal back ground check notarized. More lameness. At this point I was so frustrated then I start thinkin our notary will redo our power of attorney so the signature matches the one they have on record for her but then everything she has notarized for us so far will have a different looking signature. In our information packet it says when our dossier gets sent to Ethiopia they are super anal about having everything perfect. So I think EVERYTHING is going to have to be redone. I was so stressed. Finally today I was able to talk with our caseworker (who I am sure thinks I am a FREAK) and she said she thinks it will be o.k. So for all of you in the process of adopting an Ethiopian child, even though they say everything has to be Perfect.... some times they are just kiddin.

They are just setting high parameters so people don't get too sloppy I'm sure. Just wait till you have that precious little one join your family you will have forgotten about all that you had to go through to get'em there.
