Today is an even more excellent day. This morning I tracked our dossier through UPS and it arrived at 8:45am. I had requested the package be signed when it was received, so I was a little nervous no one would be there to sign and then it would be taken back to the post office for redelivery. Thank goodness Haek (who ever that is...) was there and signed for it. Then today at 3:13pm I received a phone call from our case worker (J), which I missed so she left a message, saying she had received our dossier and she had good news for us. YES! I phoned Mike and told him we had numbers and he asked what they were. I said I didn't know yet but would call and find out. I phoned J back and she gave us the great news. Number 53 for a girl and 34 for a boy. I am so so excited and relieved to have gotten to this point and with minimal bumps thus far. I have to admit before we received our dossier packet I had in mind, from reading other peoples blogs, that there was going to be this CRAZY amount of paper work needed that I wouldn't even know where to start. Not that there wasn't a crazy amount of paper chasing it was just less intense than I expected. Maybe I feel this way because, besides a few notary issues,everything went smoothly... And we are grateful for that and every ones support and help. It is weird...lately I have had a peaceful feeling that we are exactly where we need to be right now in many aspects of our life. At times it was hard for us to get to this point, especially with trying to grow our family. But I know there is a plan for my sweet family and I believe we are on the right track and adopting a child from Ethiopia is exactly where we are meant to be.

Did you make those little numbers? That's cute. It's so fun to see that you are so dang excited and you just can't wait another second for any kind of news. Your baby will be so lucky to be in your family!! I hope the time passes super quickly. Love you!

Oh My Gosh Chantel and Skids!!!! We are just sooooooo HAPPY for you both and want you to know you are in our prayers for everything to go well and for you to get your sweet new baby!!!!! It has been so neat to catch up and read all your posts and the wonderful journey you're going through! What a beautiful blessing your family will be to your new baby, he/she is very lucky and you are too!!! It's just amazing!!! Oh, Ps. I Chantel your numbers are just adorable! Hey and fun to see your trip to AZ, wish we could've been there too!!! Also, the cabin looked so fun at Christmas with all the snow and fun activities! You guys are just so awesome, we really are so excited to see you!!! Hurray! You are a number! :) My first number was 33 on the girls list (the list was a bit shorten then) and it took 6 months and 1 week for a referral. Hope to meet you one day soon! I am posting on my blog again for now. I may make it into a book soon (I know of a place that does this) and join facebook instead, but for now, I am back on blogspot.
