Paperwork Update

Well, we are done with round 2 of the paper chase. In California, the homestudy is only valid for one year and our adoption has to be completey finalized with a valid homestudy. Since we moved, we had to do a homestudy addendum but since we are getting close to the 1 year mark (Feb 2011) we decided to do a homestudy "update" which will give us a one year extension on our homestudy.
So we got to get finger-printed again, have physicals, do financials and a few other items....just busywork in my mind. And of course we had to pay yet another fee. But it is just a small hurdle in the grand scheme of what we are doing. We are just trying to stay focused on the goal and have faith that the Lord will provide the way.
We also had to have another home visit from our social worker who is super nice so it was a piece of cake. So we have done our part, we are just waiting for AGCI to approve it all.
The final round of paper work will come when we actually get the referral of our daughter. It is so exciting that it is so close, we are now unofficially #3!!!!
