A taste of our summer

So as tradition goes we headed to Montana (aka my parent's cabin)for the summer. On our way we stopped in SLC for a couple nights to visit Mike's family. The excellent thing about Salt Lake is they celebrated July 4th on the 3rd (since the 4th was on a Sunday) to honour the sabbath. So we hung out with family for the 3rd then headed to Montana on the 4th just in time for the Lake Blaine firework extravaganza. As is also tradition, Mike did not continue on to Montana with the kids and I he didn't have work off until the 3rd week in July so he flew back home from Salt Lake for work. The kids loved the fireworks this year, Jet was a little scared but as long as they were a good distance away he was good. In SLC the kids had a blast playing with cousins and Grandma, they didn't want to leave. But The 4th came around and I braved the drive alone with the 2 kiddos and a smelly dog. Thank goodness for our new dvd player we had installed right before we left.
When we arrived at the cabin the fireworks were almost starting. We love taking the boat out to the middle of the lake, snuggling up with blankets and watching everyone light fireworks and this year was exceptionally good. Thanks to all those who bought fireworks for us to enjoy.
While at the cabin Jaida has loved playing with cousins non stop while Jet tries to keep up. They have rebuilt and painted the tree house with my mum, played baseball, soccer and basketball, swam, fished, painted bird houses and rocks, explored the mountain side, went on lots of sun runs (when the sun goes off our dock we go to the middle of the lake and swim off the boat, and usually wash our hair), had nightly swims and skinny dips, went turtle catching, quad riding, water skiing, and wake boarding. This is definitely our most favorite place and we are sooooooo lucky to be able to come. Summer is quickly coming to an end for us, Mike got here last week (just in time for speedo day... the boys think they are going to bring speedos back in style...but the next day their thighs were all so burned... so maybe not) and he already has to leave tomorrow. We will be coming home a week after him. Boo for school starting August 11th, what ever happened to a September 1st start date... the Canadians know how to do it, we never started school before then. Enjoy some pictures, I have a cabajillion but they take FOREVER to download so here are a few. Funny thing is they are exactly the same as last year everyone just looks a little older.
Also, check out my brothers beautiful girlfriend Abnet, she is from Ethiopia. Fun huh.
O.K my computer will only update the 2 pics so you will have to wait for the others which will include the speedo day so get excited!

I see no speedos pictures, which might be a blessing. I wish we could go to your cabin!!
