So I know I am really behind on this but our September number is 19... Not to be confused with 13 which is what the first email our new case manager emailed us said (our first case manager J is on maternity leave). Mike was really excited but I knew better thanks to T an awsome adoptive blog friend who keeps the unofficial list for us. It has been a brutaly slow last few months and if I think about it too much I start to get frusterated. I keep thinking if we had just used an agency called Holt (Holt is the agency my friend L who first got us interested in international adoption used for her little boy from Korea) we could have been back with our baby before the 2 trip policy was in effect. I have to keep reminding myself we were led to AGCI for a reason, this is the agency that will lead us to our daughter. I truley believe this, even though I get frusterated, there were so many things that happend when we were initially looking into agencies that lead us where we are now. So I just need to be patient. Good news is there have been 5 baby girl referrals in the last few weeks woohoo. Can't wait to get our October numbers... lucky for you guys it will be a short wait since I am so late posting this... what a state... mate.

well, we are using IAG (international adoption guides). they are a smaller agency...our friends are using the same agency you are, and they just returned in july with their 3rd sibling set from ET!
we officially started this process in april...we got referred a little girl in july. crazy fast. our dossier wasn't quite complete but they put her on "hold" so to speak while we finished up and got it turned in just a few weeks later. *our agency is rather small, so this is how we got a referral before our dossier was 100% complete---they new what age and gender we wanted so they kept their eye out for us*
so, now, we are waiting for a court date---which we should get as soon as the courts re-open. we too are bummed about the 2 trip deal--it changed right after we started. we are thinking we will have her home by christmas.
so, we'll see! hang in there---i've heard that the waiting is the hardest part. are ya'll waiting for a baby? that is another reason why it was so fast for us---we didn't want a baby, but a toddler.
