The Word Around Town

So we have again entered the wait phase. We are now waiting for a court date, and since baby B was paper ready we expected to hear by now. So far nothing... which is really what I should have expected since nothing so far has fallen in the early time frame for us... actually not even on the worst case time frame, longer than that even. We know our file is open in the courts and have been for 10 days now (almost 11) We were told since our file was open we could get our date anywhere from the next day to 2 weeks. ( I emailed B and she now says up to 4 weeks hmmmm) If we don't get the call tomorrow we will have waited the full 2 weeks (since they don't work on the weekends) So I am hoping since everything else has taken so long that maybe we can catch a break and get a quick court date. I have been praying so hard for this. When we had our next steps call I was told to expect a court date end of March to beginning of April. I was talking with a family who got their referral a couple days after us and they were told end of April beginning of May (their file is also open) Booo if we have to wait that long. Please Ethiopian courts give us a court date... and have it be really soon, baby B has been at HH long enough.
Enough about the wait....Since we can't meet baby B until our court date we really rely on other families travelling to take pictures of our B for us and give us word on how she is doing (our agency won't give updates unless our baby is sick). There have been so many sweet families who have taken the time away from their own kids at HH to spend some time with our girl and take pictures (we even received a video which made my day... and every day after since I watch it 75 times a day) The pictures and things these families tell us are all we really know of B's personality, so here are a few things people have said about her:
"She sucks her fingers for soothing."
"She is VERY attached to her special mothers, and loves when they hold her"
"her eyes just caught me - they are so beautiful! I love all her curls too... she really is a gorgeous little one!"
"just wanted to let you know that she is precious and gorgeous!!!!! "
"she is SO BEAUTIFUL!! She sits up so straight and tall. And she smiles a lot until she sees a camera--then she gets quite serious" This one is funny because I thought she NEVER smiled. For a while we only had one picture where she was almost smiling. That is why I love the video so much, you can actually see her personality.
"You can tell that the Special Mothers LOVE your girl! She is SUCH a sweetheart!"

We already love her so much. When Jgirl looks at pictures of baby B with other kids in it she always says "but I really want her" pointing to B. Jet loves her video and will imitate what she does in the video and than laugh. Mike says he wonders if any other families adopting feel bad cause B is the cutest one. He says she is the cutest Ethiopian he has ever seen. Pretty sure she has him wrapped around her finger, I hope he feels the same way when it is his turn to get up with her in the middle of the night... I know i'll still feel it.
